New Release of NogaLogic Delivers Powerful Policy Management Capabilities to Make Information Management Easier Than Ever Before

31.01.2011

  • With NogaLogic 3.7 users can now create policies that identify relevant documents based on their business context, and then copy, move, tag or share them – quickly, easily and automatically

Herzeliya Pituach, Israel and Wadgassen, Germany, January 31, 2011 – Nogacom, a leading provider of information management software solutions and services for unstructured data, today announced the release of version 3.7 of its award winning NogaLogic solution. The new NogaLogic 3.7, designed for medium size businesses and enterprise business units, adds powerful, highly flexible policy management capabilities that automate information management tasks, making them easy, simple and effective.

One of the main goals for information managers and security officers is to define policies that will manage and protect their unstructured data effectively. However, one of the main challenges for effective policy management is to accurately identify the right data to manage.  Designed for ease of use, and utilizing its unique business context data classification engine, NogaLogic 3.7 enables users to quickly and easily create policies based on the business context and value of documents, as well as any combination of file formats, storage location, document author, creation or change date, or any other property or criteria. Policies can be as granular and complex or as broad and simple as needed, and are created within a couple of mouse clicks.

With NogaLogic 3.7 users can now:

  • Centrally define policies that automatically copy or move any unstructured data located anywhere across the organization. This capability provides companies with an easy, accurate and efficient way to migrate data, consolidate data, and clean up data repositories. For example, using NogaLogic 3.7 users can create a policy that automatically migrates all documents related to their company’s top customers to a secure data repository.
  • Centrally define policies that manage versions, copies and related documents. Using NogaLogic 3.7 for example, users can create policies that move all unnecessary copies and versions of documents to a low end storage drive to save space as well as infrastructure costs and management resources.
  • Tag desired documents with new properties. For example, with NogaLogic 3.7 users can tag documents containing sensitive business information as “confidential” and then move them to a secure repository.

With NogaLogic 3.7, policies can run once or can be saved as scheduled tasks, and they can be easily modified to adapt to changing business needs and regulatory requirements. Furthermore, policies can be automatically applied to any new or updated business data as soon as it is created—wherever it is stored, whatever format it’s in, and whatever filename it is given—to ensure ongoing compliance and enforcement of corporate standards and compliance requirements.

In addition to its policy management capabilities, NogaLogic 3.7 includes a completely revamped user interface which helps make information management and security tasks even easier to perform.

“NogaLogic 3.7, with its new centralized policy management capabilities, now delivers a comprehensive solution for information management, said Thomas Quednau, Nogacom’s CEO. “The industry today focuses on delivering solutions for large enterprises while medium sized businesses are left without appropriate or cost effective solutions for managing and protecting their unstructured data. However, in this era of WikiLeaks, this market segment needs these solutions just as much as the large enterprises. NogaLogic 3.7 specifically focuses on medium size businesses, empowering them to significantly improve security and compliance surrounding unstructured data while reducing operational risks and costs, and facilitating more effective use of information by the business.”

About NogaLogic

NogaLogic is an information management solution that gives users unparalleled visibility into a company’s unstructured business data.
